VITAMIN A
Vitamin A is a term for several related substances. Vitamin A occurs in animal products and is then called Retinol. The precursor to Vitamin A - Beta-carotene - is found in a variety of vegetable products and is converted to Vitamin A in the body as needed. Vitamin A has a strong antioxidant effect in the body.
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin. At VITAVIVA, we mainly use vitamin A in the form of beta-carotene, as there are no upper limits for its intake. It cannot overdose like vitamin A in the form of retinol
Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes, normal skin, normal vision, and normal functioning of the immune system. Vitamin A plays a role in the process of cell specialization.
We use vitamin A in our VITAMAX multivitamin, but also many other complexes such as WRINKLES AWAY og VITAGLOW.

VITAMIN B
Vitamin Bs are many different vitamins which are all water-soluble. They can be excreted from the body with the urine. The B vitamins work together in a complex biological collaboration. They are part of most of the body's enzyme processes, with some dominating more or less than others. The uptake of vitamin Bs is dependent on stomach acid and digestion. The Vitamin B family consists of the following vitamins:
Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal function of the nervous system, normal homocysteine metabolism, normal psychological function, normal formation of red blood cells, normal function of the immune system, reduction of fatigue and burnout. Vitamin b12 has a role in the process of cell division.
Vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal cysteine synthesis, normal function of the nervous system, normal homocysteine metabolism, normal protein and glycogen metabolism, normal psychological function, normal formation of red blood cells, normal function of the immune system, reduction of fatigue and burnout, regulation of hormone activity.
Biotin (B8) is often called the "beauty vitamin" because of the nourishment it provides to skin and hair. This member of the B vitamin complex contributes to the maintenance of hair and skin, normal energy metabolism, nervous system function, normal macronutrient metabolism, normal psychological function, normal mucous membranes, and blood coagulation.
B9 Folinsyre. The National Board of Health recommends folic acid (B9) as a dietary supplement 3 months before and after pregnancy, as it increases the mother's folate level. Low folate levels are a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. Of course, we also have 400 mg of folic acid in our VITAMAMA.
Thiamin (B1) contributes to normal energy-bringing metabolism, normal function of the nervous system, normal psychological function, normal function of the heart.

VITAMIN C
Vitamin C is probably the most explored vitamin of all time - and the most commonly known. Humans are not able to produce Vitamin C themselves - and it is therefore important to supply larger amounts of Vitamin C to the body through diet and supplements. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps support the immune system.
Vitamin C is water-soluble, which means that the body automatically excretes excess amounts. Vitamin C does not stay in the body for more than 3-4 hours.
Vitamin C helps maintain the normal functioning of the immune system during and after intense physical exercise. Vitamin C contributes to the normal formation of collagen to the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin, and teeth. Vitamin C contributes to normal energy-bringing metabolism, normal function of the nervous system, normal psychological function, normal function of the immune system.
Vitamin C helps protect cells from oxidative stress, reducing fatigue and burnout, regenerating the reduced form of vitamin E. Vitamin C increases the uptake of iron.

VITAMIN D
Vitamin D comes in various forms and so far 37 active substances have been found, each of which is different in their chemical structure. The forms that are most important to humans are D2 (ergocalciferol) and D3 (cholecalciferol), of which D3 is the most active form. We always recommend that you take vitamin D in the form of D3.
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, which means that the body cannot absorb vitamin D in addition to fat. The main source of vitamin D is through the sun, but eggs and fatty fish also contribute to your level of vitamin D.
Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption of calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, normal muscle function, normal teeth, normal functioning of the immune system.
Vitamin D is necessary for normal growth and development of bones in children, which is why the health authorities also recommend that you give vitamin D drops to infants from the age of 2 weeks.

VITAMIN E
Vitamin E consists of the tocopherols (d-alpha, d-gamma, d-beta, and d-delta) which all work together to fight the free radicals.
Vitamin E helps protect cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, which means that it needs fat to be absorbed into the body.

VITAMIN K
Vitamin K belongs to the group of fat-soluble vitamins. This means that the vitamin must be dissolved in fat during digestion to be absorbed into the body otherwise it smokes directly out again.
Vitamin K comes in three forms:
- Vitamin K1, which is called phytonadione. This form is found in green plants and rich sources including: cabbage, broccoli, spinach and avocado.
- The second form is, vitamin K2 is formed in intestinal bacteria and it is called menaquinone.
- The third and final form is a synthetic of vitamin K, which is not recommended to use as a supplement.
Vitamin K contributes to normal blood coagulation and maintenance of normal bones - it works especially well with vitamin D3 in relation to bone health.
