Vitamin D3 is also known as the sunshine vitamin because you mostly absorb it through the rays of the sun. It is an essential vitamin, because we cannot make it our selves which means we have to get it through our diet (mostly through fatty fish and eggs) or the sun.

Especially in the northern countries where the exposure to the sun is limited 6 out of 12 months of the year. Also people with dark skin, elderly people and infants, are disposable for low Vitamin D levels, because of their ability to absorb Vitamin D and their limited amount of time in the sun. This is why health authorities around the world recommend that these population groups support their health with Vitamin D (source). We always recommend to get your Vitamin D level tested if possible. Then you know exactly what you have to work with.

VITAMIN D3 w. K2

We also have a Vitamin D3 combined with K2. This combination is especially formulated to support the maintenance of healthy bones - however it will of course also support your immune system.

The tablets are chewable and a great alternative if you don't like to swallow tablets. It will provide you with 2000 iu / 50 mcg Vitamin D3 and 75 mcg K2 pr tablet.

VITAMIN C 500 mg

Humans are not able to form Vitamin C themselves - and it is therefore important to get Vitamin C through our diet. You mostly get it from dark leafy green vegetables and vibrant colored fruits.

Vitamin C has a great record of health claims - which is why it is one of our absolute favorite vitamins! Vitamin C contributes to a well-functioning immune system, to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, increase iron absorption and supports the collagen synthesis.
 
Recommended daily dosage: In times where you wish to support your immune system, we recommend a daily dose 1000mg of Vitamin C. That equals 2 tablets of Vitamin C 500 mg taken throughout the day ( morning and afternoon).

This Vitamin C from VitOrtho is a great alternative to our own Vitamin C 500 mg. It contains 120 tablets and each tablet is formulated with 500 mg Vitamin C combined with 25 mg Citrus Bioflavonoids for better absorbation.

Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin which means that the body automatically excrete excess amounts.  It usually stays in the body for 3-4 hours, which makes it extremely difficult to get "too much".
