B12: Several studies show that vegans and vegetarians are at risk of B12-deficiency if they do not supplement their diet with it. B12 is important for many cellular processes and nerve function. Lack of B12 can cause anaemia, heart disease, and nerve damage.

VITAMIN A is primarily found in animal products and supplementation may be necessary if you primarily live vegan. Vitamin A is important for reproductive ability, fetal development, and our immune system, as it regulates cell division and maturation, among other things.

VITAMIN D is important for the body's utilisation of calcium. It also plays a major role in the immune system and can affect one's mental well-being. Vitamin D is obtained from the sun mainly, however also through fatty fish, eggs, cheese and milk. Whether eating animal products or not, eating the daily recommended amount can be difficult. And therefore, it is recommended to supplement with vitamin D.

MINERALS like zincironcalcium, and iodine (from kelp) are important to supplement with as a vegan, vegetarian, or if you have a plant-based diet. They all have a vital role in the basic functions of the body.

Omega 3: In VITAVEGAN you will find 1000 mg of vegan and organic flaxseed oil, which is naturally rich in omega 3. Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid that the body uses daily for several important functions. We chose Omega 3 from organic flaxseed oil for VITAVEGAN as it is an effective source of plant-based omega 3. Omega 3 is mainly linked to fish and fish oil, which is also an effective source of this nutrient. However, if you eat a plant-based diet, fish is off the table. This is our alternative to a daily supplement of omega 3.

Probiotics: A daily supplement of vegan probiotics (lactic acid bacteria) supports the guts balance. A healthy gut is a healthy body.
