Tell us a little about yourself

I have worked as a model for 19 years. I have lived abroad for over 10 years, and now resides in our beloved joined home in Frederiksberg. My days varies a lot and differs widely in working hours and tasks. There are days where I leave home at 5 in the morning and are home again at 9 pm. Most days are home office days with a teapot by my side. Yes, by the computer, like most of us & always my phone within reach since social media is a big part of my worklife too. And then there are the amazing, creative days where I focus on my art. I dream of writing a children’s book composed of my collages.

What is your everyday routine?

My mornings begin with a big pot of green tea. It has been so for more than 15 years. It is clearly an addiction, but I would say that it is a healthy one. I rarely eat breakfast since I'm not hungry when I wake up. I believe in listening to what the body wants. The few times I eat breakfast for the sake of it, it interferes with my “system”. I tire more easily and get hungry faster.

So I usually eat my first meal late and then a lot for dinner.

I exercise several times a week, preferably in the morning, like hot yoga, but also reforms, bars and running.

What is your approach to a healthy lifestyle?

Everything in moderation. I really do not live a strict lifestyle, as there must be room for everything. With that said, I focus on my health and being strong in body and mind.

I prioritise my treasured quality time at the sea - meaning a lot of dips in the summer as well as in the winter with a sauna.

Happiness is my drive in life and it may sound trivial, but I truly believe in appreciating the small moments of everyday life.

Why did you start using VITAVIVA? How does it affect your everyday life?

As a child, I was given a multivitamin pill daily by my parents - some of them ended up being stuffed into my parents' potted plants.

Today, however, I am glad that I was raised with supplements to my diet. That's why I started using VITAVIVA. It is reassuring on busy days when you can not take proper care of yourself.

If I feel that I am more tired or have a stomach ache for a while, then VITAVIVA always has a composition that helps.

Is VITAVIVA different from other supplements you have tried?

I appreciate that VITAVIVA’s products are more potent than other supplements.

Moreover, I know the story behind VITAVIVA, in which effect and integrity play major roles.

Which are your favourite VITAVIVA products?

I always making sure I am topped up with my D3s & Cs & B12. Magnesium, which contributes to all vital functions in the body. When I became I pescatarian some 4 years ago, I had to change my supplements too. I felt at change in my body & skin, realizing I wasn’t really getting enough protein.  Because of my job, it is important that I take care of my skin. I have sensitive skin, which needs to be resistant as it gets exposed to a lot in the makeup chair, but just everyday also sun exposure & pollution. I added Amino Acid Complex combining it with Omega 3 & I experienced major changes to my skin. I now feel my body & skin is getting the proteins it needs, but without me having consume meat. That’s what I love about supplements. It performs magic when you are need of it.

Do you have a mantra that you swear by?

I do not believe in having a bad conscience. I believe in feeling for body and mind in the moment, which keeps me balanced. So if I have eaten unhealthy for a few days, I relax a little on that front the next days. Everything in moderation ;-)

  1. Vitamin D3 3000 IU 75 mcg / 100 capsules

    Price per daily dosage €0.25

    WHAT IS VITAMIN D3?

Vitamin D is not really a vitamin in the traditional sense, because we are able to form it through the skin, once our skin is exposed to UV-B rays from the sun. The formation occurs in the skin from cholesterol. The suns rays have to be strong and the skin has to be directly exposed in order for our bodies to form enough natural vitamin D3 - also referred to as the sunshine vitamin.

Deficiency is therefore particularly common in countries north of the equator.

The sun is the main source to Vitamin D, however you also get small amounts of Vitamin D from egg, liver, cheese and fatty fish.

Vitamin D3 3000 IU combined with virgin olive oil in a softgel capsule for better absorption.

Vitamin D is not like other vitamins that need to be consumed through the diet. Instead, it is a steroid hormone that the body produces itself. Its synthesis requires exposure to ultraviolet B light and heat.

Vitamin D is crucial for our health, especially our bones. As we age, bones become more fragile, which can lead to injuries and fractures. To maintain strong bones, it is essential to keep optimal levels of vitamin D.

There are five forms of vitamin D, but the two most important for humans are vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). Vitamin D2 is produced by invertebrates, as well as some plants and fungi. Vitamin D3 is produced by animals and humans and is the form typically used in dietary supplements.

Vitamin D should primarily be obtained through sunlight. However, people living in the Northern Hemisphere do not get enough vitamin D during the winter months and should supplement with dietary supplements, as sun exposure during this time will not maintain optimal levels.

The effects of vitamin D depend on the level in the blood. You will only benefit from its advantages if you get enough vitamin D.

For optimal absorption, vitamin D should be taken in the morning with some fat. The recommended daily dose is usually 10-20 µg, but this is often too low for many in the Northern Hemisphere. Instead, a daily dose of 25-50 µg is optimal for most people.

In general, vitamin D in the right doses is safe to take, and there is very little risk of complications.

WHAT IS VITAMIN D GOOD FOR?

Vitamin D is an very important vitamin for your overall health. It contributes to the below processes:

    • Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth
    • Vitamin D contributes to normal blood calcium levels and to the maintenance of normal muscle function.
    • Vitamin D contributes to normal absorption/utilization of calcium and phosphorus.
    • Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
    • Vitamin D has a role in the process of cell division.

Vitamin D is needed for normal growth and development of bone in children and contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

Amino acids are included in the structure of muscles and cells. There are 20 amino acids of importance for human biochemistry. The 8 are called essential amino acids. The individual amino acids are vital nutrients that are essential for the body.

The amino acids via diet come from both plants and animals. We have to get them through our food as we do not produce them ourselves. The individual proteins are built up as a complex network of hundreds of amino acids that are linked into basic units called peptides. Two amino acids bind to a dipeptide, three to a tripeptide, four to a tetrapeptide, and many amino acids bound to form a polypeptide. Numerous polypeptides together form a protein. Our food proteins also have this structure in a dense and complicated network consisting of a very large number of amino acids.

Twenty percent of the body is made up of protein. However, in order for the organism to utilize the amino acids bound to the protein, it is essential that they be completely released from one another. A prerequisite for achieving this is that we are able to fully digest the protein we consume so that it is completely broken down into its molecular constituents, ie. amino acids. With few exceptions, only free amino acids can be taken up and used by the organism.

Amino Acid 200 mg Complex contains 18 different amino acids.
