1. WHAT IS VITAMIN C?
Vitamin C is an essential vitamin which means that the body cannot produce the vitamin by itself. We, therefore, need to get all our supply of Vitamin C from our diet. Many essential vitamins, such as Vitamin C, are also by definition phytonutrients, as they occur in plants.
Vitamin C works as a strong anti-oxidant and plays a critical role in many essential processes in the body. Our body cannot function optimally without Vitamin C.
2. MAIN SOURCES?
The main sources of Vitamin C are dark leafy greens and colorful vegetables and fruits.
Most people relate Vitamin C with oranges and citrus fruits, but there are actually vegetables and fruits that contain much higher dosages of Vitamin C.
Go for spinach, kiwi, red bell pepper, blueberries, parsley, kale, broccoli and of course oranges and other citrus fruits. They are all high in Vitamin C and we recommend adding a couple of these delicious vegetables and fruits to your daily diet.

3. IMMUNE FUNCTION!
One of the most important functions of Vitamin C is to support our immune system. Vitamin C contributes to immune defense by supporting various cellular functions of both the innate and adaptive immune system.
We recommend supporting our body year around with Vitamin C - especially in periods where you feel the need for extra support, like fall and winter.
4. THE 3-HOUR RULE?
Vitamin C only stays active in the body for 3-4 hours as it is a water-soluble vitamin. This makes it very difficult to overdose because your body automatically excrete excess amount via urine.
Because Vitamin C has such a short active phase, we recommend distributing your intake of Vitamin C over several times during the day - like every 4th hour. This will optimize the level of Vitamin C in your body. This is especially relevant in times where you wish to give your body extra support.
5. COLLAGEN SUPPORT!
