Stina Dannerfjord is a clinical nutritionist and psychotherapist and owner of the Clinic Dannerfjord. She is also author of the book "100 Shortcuts to Weigthloss" and an expert on the the TV program "Obese Conditions."
What is your professional title and educational background?
I have a Masters degree in clinical nutrition from University of Copenhagen (2008), where I wrote a thesis on lung cancer and the impact of fish oil on patients in active treatment. Furthermore, I'm a psychotherapist, which I use in my work - especially when treating eating disorders.
Which fields are you specialized in and how many years of experience do you have?
I have been working with cancer patients for 12 years, where I have advised my patients in eating the right food between treatments. For 5 years I have educated doctors and nurses, who work with cancer patients, in nutrition along with teaching patients and their relatives through “Dit liv”/Kræftens Bekæmpelse (Danish Cancer Society). For the past 8 years, I have also worked with people with obesity. These people wish to lose weight. During this time, I have also worked with young people and adults with eating disorders, 2 of those years I have been working in a psychiatric hospital with an associated day center.
Tell us a little about yourself
I am married and a mother of two boys aged 7 and 9. I have an Australian sheepdog which fits perfectly in my level of activity. My big passion is running, and I like to participate in different Marathons around the world (amongst those, I have run the 6 majors). In December 2019, I am going to run my first ultra-run in the Ica desert in Peru. Besides that, my family is important to me and I love to travel and go on adventures with my husband and our boys.
In relation to my work. I am very engaged in my work and the people I work with. I am passionate about making a difference. This applies to my professional working environment but also to my local environment. I'm always curious and always want to increase my knowledge, either through literature, journals, courses or education. I don’t believe success is reached through a filter but through hard work. This applies to many aspects of life – also when it comes to changing your diet.
Any ongoing activities and past accomplishments that we should know of?
I have a clinic in Copenhagen - www.dannerfjord.dk, where I help people with cancer, eating disorders and people with different lifestyle diseases and obesity. This year I debuted my first book “”100 Shortcuts to Weight loss", which is an easy accessible book about health in everyday life. I'm also an expert in the TV program "Obese Conditions", which aired at the beginning of 2019 on DR2.
What is your perception of VITAVIVA and why do you recommend VITAVIVA?
VITAVIVA definitely fills a hole in the market with their unique combination of vitamins, minerals, and herbs. Additionally, VITAVIVA works with other kinds of doses than what you normally see, which also make their product really interesting. Before I got to know about VITAVIVA, I always bought my vitamins in the US, because Americans also work with higher doses than what is seen in most European countries. This means that for example you don’t have to take 2-3 supplements of vitamin D at a time, but you can simply take one pill. Their combination of many supplements also meets more needs, meaning you don’t have to take several different supplements, but have it all gathered in one pill. There is great expertise behind the development of their products, and nothing is left to the matter of chance but carefully selected, tested and well thought out. I would surely recommend VITAVIVA to those who highly value their health or to those who have a disorder or illness in which the diet and supplements can make a difference.
What are your favourite products from VITAVIVA?
My favourite products are Probiotic 30 billion, 3 in 1 Beauty Booster, Organic Coconut oil, and Vitadaily.
