WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSIONAL TITLE & BACKGROUND?
I am trained in nutrition and therapy at the Center for Nutrition and Therapy (CET), I’m a certified yoga instructor and for the last many years I have taught anti-inflammatory food and lifestyle, held retreats, detox and anti-inflammatory courses and have private consultations at Health Clinic Copenhagen. In addition, I have just embarked on my dream project and I’m a co-founder of the boutique gym Remedy Health Club.
WHICH AREA DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN, AND HOW MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE?
I have ALWAYS taught and it has always been up to me to motivate and inspire others to get the best out of themselves.
I help my clients integrate an anti-inflammatory diet and exercise so that it becomes a natural and lasting part of everyday life. I have a holistic approach to nutrition and exercise. It all comes together, affects each other and affects how we feel; sleep, stress, exercise, hormones, age and your lifestyle.
I am hugely concerned about how much our hormones affect how we feel and I think there is far too little focus on that area especially for women after they have children and up to menopause, where women have many challenges and experience many imbalances and where a huge amount happens with the hormones. It is a hugely taboo area. And hormones are affected by our blood sugar, and therefore balanced hormones are very much about diet, exercise, sleep and supplements.
TELL A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF?
I love to cook naturally nutritious food, which means really really very green - just ask my 4 kids. But cooking should not take up too much space, because it is not connected for some families in a busy everyday life. For me, it is important that cooking is easy and healthy.
Exercise is an integral part of my everyday life. I myself combine all the forms of training we represent in Remedy Health Club, which is yoga and strength training.
My own most powerful RESET button is food, sleep and movement. These factors have a huge effect on how I feel from the inside out. Nutritious natural food, exercise and sleep are a choice either for a period or for a lifetime and for me it is basic - it is my lifestyle. This is where I feel like the best version of myself - and I love to pass that on.
I'm not fanatical, for me it's about finding the right balance.
CURRENT ACTIVITIES & PREVIOUS COMPANIES THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
I just started Remedy Health Club, which has a holistic approach to health - health is achieved through a well-balanced life, where exercise, healthy eating and sleep are an important part and we want to pass this on to our customers.
In addition, I offer various courses both via Health Clinic Copenhagen and Remedy Health Club, where the focus will be on weight loss, anti-inflammatory courses, detox etc.
I always keep up to date in both nutrition and yoga and participate in everything that is relevant in my subject in the form of courses and workshops.
WHAT IS YOUR PERCEPTION OF VITAVIVA, AND HOW DO YOU RECOMMEND VITAVIVA?
I am a big fan of Vitaviva's products because Vitaviva’s combination of supplements meets both my own and my clients' needs. The products are pure and synergistically composed, which helps to activate many processes in the body that we can’t get from the diet alone. Herbs that many of the products contain have one incredible effect on many dynamics in our body, and I often use them in my recommendation to my clients - both to prevent, but also to give the body what it needs in a natural way.
